Yellow Lady's Slipper Orchid (Cypripedium parviflorum var. planipetalum) - Burnt Cape. Note, one of the common forms of this orchid is Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens but a flat petalled ecotype - planipetalum - is held to exist in Newfoundland. Compare the flattened petals with the more usual curly petals shown in two of the following images.
