Pearly Everlasting as winter begins and we wake up to garden frosts
Viburnum, Amelanchier canadensis and a sour cherry tree – beyond them a Chinese grass, the species of which I forget. A visually interesting time of the year in the garden with the different coloours on the same date.
This year has been superb for the several varieties of wild Asters – quite the best for a very long time.
This was originally in glorious e-colour but I somehow thought it would take on something “special” if edited to monochrome – and it did. I shared it on facebook a few days ago and it proved to be one of the most popular images I have posted in a while.
