Happy God and Song Sparrow

A heavy summer rainstorm was followed by bright sunshine and the Song Sparrow family came out to play, watched over by Happy God.

The Happy Buddha, or Laughing Buddha, is based on a wandering monk who walked throughout ancient China. His likeness is symbolic of joy, mirth and contentment, and it is said that rubbing the head or belly of a Happy Buddha statue brings good luck and fortune.
