Grand Manan Island

Four years ago we spent a wonderful week on Grand Manan island in the Bay of Fundy – yes birding and botanising, as you would expect. This is the Swallowtail Lighthouse on North Head.

This was the vacation on which I got my lifer Burrowing Owl some 1500 or more km from the prairies where it was supposed to be spending the summer.
