Great Ouse River, St-Ives

The Quayside in St-Ives, Cambridgeshire on a cloudy day in May with interesting light and clouds.

The bridge from which the picture was taken is a medieval construction built in 1425, later blown up by Cromwell (a son of the town) before being rebuilt in 1716 … during the intervening years a drawbridge connected the two halves. We have morris-danced on the Quayside in years past.

In other words, this bridge is older than Canada.
