The Sound of English Bird Song

It’s not unexpected given the ocean between us but I am always surprised by the difference in the sound of background bird song in Quebec and England. By way of illustration here’s a 60 second clip recorded mid-morning at the RSPB Fowlmere bird sanctuary in Cambridgeshire on 5 May 2016

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sound that the iPhone captured. I shall have to find ways to improve it (plug-in microphone?) but it’s encouraging for a first attempt.
