I had to go over to the local RenoDepot store this morning to pick up a widget. Pulled into the parking lot, glanced over the distant highway and saw a very raptorial profile on top of one the very tall lighting poles. Roared out of the lot, across the road, at high speed past a dozen other stores and screeched to a stop, iPhone camera at the ready, only to discover it was a …. Red-tailed Hawk. Again.
Snowy Owls are going to be my nemesis bird in the circle this winter. They are all over the place this year, best year for decades, but not in my circle though I have seens everal not far outside it.
Anyway – this failure needs to be documented, so here is a fine example of why iPhone cameras are nothing like as good as a lot of people think they are. Albeit lighting was lousy.
