Goldfinch swarm

We are having a slow and steady fall of thick, wet sticky snow at the moment – awful to shovel, but it sticks to the trees in a very picture postcardish sort of way. Accompanying it is a small flock of American Goldfinches in their not-so-golden winter plumage who have been working away at our seed feeders all morning.
