Garden Birds

Strictly garden birds today – there were vegetable patches to dig and compost to be spread and Iris versicolor and Iris sibirica to be moved before the rains start tomorrow.

Nevertheless, we were visited by the usual rag-bag, a couple of White-throated Sparrows, several DE Juncos and a female Purple Finch. Mid-afternoon, four noisy American Crows chased a Coopers Hawk over the garden about 20 feet overhead.
