Cedar Waxwings

I managed to get some photos of the flock of Cedar Waxwings mentioned in the previous post. They were using the waterfall like all the other birds today but then spending time in the trees – mostly the lilac and birch trees, from which they would dart out like flycatchers and take small six-legged snacks from out of the air. The pictures are a little grainier than I would like as all this activity was at dusk so I had to rack up the ISO setting more than is ideal.

Really beautiful birds, great favourites.
